There are chapels everywhere. Even in the remotest, the most unlikely, the steepest, the most unexpected places…you will find a chapel. Sometimes they are coarse and in poor condition, but most of the time, they are maintained in a good state and regularly visited by the local people. Apparently, the Island of Lemnos would have more than 300 chapels… I’m ready to believe this number after having walked around quite a lot. Each chapel has its own features or specific aspects, and the Saints who are worshipped seem to be different from one chapel to another one.
