There are several museums on the Island of Lemnos but their quality is unequal. The museum in Myrina is the most obvious. It is situated on the seafront of Myrina and when we visited it, it was surrounded by scaffolds and we could only visit its first floor, there were only few things left, due to recent earthquakes. The collection is very small and the most interesting artifacts from the Island are in the new archaeological museum at the bottom of the Parthenon in Athens .
